More prepping and planning

Sunday was our fifth team meeting and the first meeting where the whole team was present at once, which was great.  We've been praying from the beginning that God would bring the people He wanted to go to Puerto Rico together-- and He has!  What an awesome group God has assembled.  The unity in the team is amazing and since we only know each other from a few meetings is proof that these are indeed the people God choose.
After our Biblical devotional, we went around the room and explained to the team what aspect(s) of the trip we were most excited about.  The responses varied, but we are all excited to see the village children who live in the mountains and to have the opportunity to show the love of Christ to those we meet, and just getting to bond with one another as a team.
As a group, we decided to sell Giant cards and Sheetz coupon books as fundraisers and we are also collecting Campbell's Soup Labels and Box Tops to raise money for the school in PR.  If anyone is interested in buying Giant cards, Sheetz coupon books or would be willing to save Soup Labels or Box Tops, please see a team member.
The team has discussed the possibility of taking a tour of the Bioluminescent Bay.  For those who aren't familiar with it, let me explain what this is.  Off the island coast of Puerto Rico there is a bay whose water glows green with the coming of a new moon.  The tour takes place at night when darkness falls over the island and the "explorers" take a two-man kayak and paddle over the glowing water.
Kathy Zimmerman informed us that she has already booked our tour for the Bioluminescent Bay and the team is very excited about that.  Here is a picture I found on the Internet--

....I can't wait to show you the real pics when we get there!
I don't know about the other members of my team, but I still have to get my photo ID and a vaccine (Yay--haha NOT!!!)  The next two months are going to be busy, busy, busy!  So, passports and packing--here we come!
